  1. learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  2. not rely on a WYSIWYG editor.
  3. not SPAM thy site or services.
  4. backup thy files.
  5. list thy site into the search engines.
  6. take any and all critisizm as constructive, not destructive.
  7. be sure to have a subject for thy site. Content is key.
  8. keep animations to a minimum.
  9. not steal bandwidth.
  10. test thy site in different browsers, resolutions, and validators.

  1. type in your start and ending tags, then fill in the middle.

Why did you leave out so many TAGS from your tutorials?

We've tried to include the TAGs usable in both MSIE and NETSCAPE. With all the differences, it's hard to keep them all.

Are tags case sensitive?

CSS, Yes.
JavaScript, Yes.
Perl, Yes.
PHP, Yes.
Filenames used for your web pages, images, and sounds ARE case sensitive. MyImage.gif is NOT the same as myimage.gif. Using XHTML, all tags must conform to XML standards which is lowercase.

What about htmlite?

Htmlite started out as a single help page of a few coding examples back in 1997. Since then, the site has grown to over 250 tutorial pages plus examples.

The site has seen its share of makeovers and host moves over the years. Each step brings the site one level higher than before.
