How do you ... adjust the page (body) margins?
How do you get rid of the default page margins (white space buffer) around the main page contents?

If you plan on having your pages validated for well formed HTML coding, this will come up as an error. The Netscape4 tags are the killer. There is a CSS solution, but it will only work in IE5+ and possibly Netscape6+. Enter these extra properties into your current starting BODY tag :

marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" topmargin="0" leftmargin="0"

Of course your current starting BODY tag may have some other properties already assigned for your page styles too.

Do not create a second opening BODY tag. All web pages are allowed only one set of BODY tags. Having multiple ones will usually cause a blank page to show up in Netscape. IE is somehow forgiving on matters such as this.

As mentioned above, there is a CSS solution which would be to put this into your HEAD area :

<style type="text/css">
body {margin:0px;}
