The back link does the same thing as the browser's BACK button. It takes the visitor to the previous page they were viewing before coming to the current page.

Now check out the quotes around the HTTP_REFERER in the link area and in the text area. I used single quotes in the link area so the brower would not get confused with all the normal double quotes around the SSI value. This is just like JavaScript. Use the opposite quote types when nesting quoted values. Since double quotes are required for the SSI command, single quotes were used around the values of the HREF property.

It's odd that many people want this effect even though most visitors will just use the regular BACK button on their browser. Oh well... I guess everyone has their own ideas :) Some people may use this to gather information such as where vistors came from to get to this page/site.
